Gorgeous house!!!! Good call scraping the popcorn BEFORE you move in (wish I'd done that). It's easier than you think -- get a straight-edge from Home Depot and it will be done in 20 minutes per room.
We had to scrape popcorn ceilings and about 500 years of wallpaper--if you need any advice, I'm your gal. I lived to talk about it. And that's saying a lot.

Hey! Congrats on the house. I want to see all the "before" pics so that I can be totally jealous of your mad renovating skills when you post the "after" pics. Besides, taking the before pics will allow you to feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment when it's finished. Can't wait to see it in person...my "New Year's" resolution is to come visit within the next three months---so take a look at your calendar and tell me what weekend to come down--I'll even help paint!

Oh my goodness, HOORAY!! Congratulations, hon!! I'm so excited for you. Though I don't envy you the scraping of the popcorn ceilings. We did that in our condo and only got as far as the bathroom because it sucked so much!
